Authors list

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design state that all electronic and information technology must be accessible to people with disabilities. To this end, images and icons provided by ASI for use on ESP Websites and Company Stores have been updated to ensure legal compliance by providing alt text to images.

By adding alt text visitors who are using assistive technology, such as a screen reader, will be able to hear a description of the images on your site. All ASI provided images (banners, category tiles, etc) will now contain alt text for ADA Compliance purposes.

To ensure complete website compliance with these ADA standards, administrators are encouraged to add alt text to any uploaded content. To add alt text to images in the content library, right click on the image and select properties.

Then, enter a description of the image (100 characters or less) in the Alt Text field and then click on OK when you're finished.
